Blue Hill PR is hiring

We’re looking for two talented people to join the Blue Hill PR team, preferably based in Brisbane.

Ideally, you will be able to “speak ag” and have a good understanding of the Australian farm sector, and rural and regional communities. We want someone who is committed to innovation and the prosperity of rural Australia, and who has a genuine interest in creating content to support the work of our clients – some of the best agribusinesses in the nation.

Available positions:

  • Senior writer/editor

Ideally, you will be an exceptional writer with five plus years of rural journalism, communications or PR experience. We develop media releases, Op-ed content, feature articles, website copy, magazines and marketing materials for a broad range of agribusiness clients and are fastidious about the quality of our written work. We’re looking for someone who can “speak ag” and shares our motivation to develop creative and engaging content of the highest standard.

Working alongside our Director, you will not only write engaging, and sometimes complex, content for the grains, livestock, sheep and wool, horticulture, machinery and funds investment industries, you will also serve as an editor to help ensure the quality of all written work we develop.

Additionally, you will be tuned into local and global news and trends in agriculture and be able to identify strategic opportunities for our clients to raise their media profile or share key messages.

Television or broadcast experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Be part of a busy, friendly, and flexible team which is genuinely invested in Australian agriculture.

  • Junior/graduate PR

This is your opportunity to develop your PR skills in an energetic and busy agency setting. You will have experience or a genuine interest in the agriculture industry, along with excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills.

Supporting our senior team, you will work across written content, social media, and project management, and be ready to learn. We are looking for someone who is inquisitive and goes the extra mile to take initiative to develop and improve. In return, we can offer a warm and very experienced team of PR professionals and writers to support you as your career evolves.

Qualifications in communications, journalism, PR, agricultural science, agribusiness, or sustainability will be highly regarded.
